KVSC has announced their trivia theme for this year's contest. The theme is 33 1/3: Trivia Long Play. This means lots of questions about LPs, 45s, 78s, liner notes, cover art, and just about anything record or music related you can imagine.

Nerd Party is excited to have a team again this year, and we are accepting new team members. It doesn't cost anything to be on our team, and you can play in person or online during the contest in February.

We are hosting a nerdy board game day all day today at Event Horizon (the home of CONvergence, Geek Partnership Society & Anime Detour) in NE Minneapolis.

We will be there in room 135 from noon - 8pm with nerdy board and card games, instruction in a French card game called Tarot, and larger than life DDR.

Parking at the building is tricky. It's a red building called the Waterbury building, and it's located at the corner of Central and Broadway.

To get to the parking lot, you should enter from Broadway, turning onto Jackson Street. There is street parking and a small lot on Jackson, but often times there aren't any spots available. If you drive around the building on the brick road--there is a large parking lot in the back with ample room for your nerdmobiles.

The building is also located on the #10 and #17 bus routes.

Nerd Party is hosting a game day at Event Horizon in NE Minneapolis from noon - 8pm on Saturday, April 9th. This event is free and open to the public.

All manner of games are welcome! We'll provide some board and card games from our collection, but feel free to also bring your own if there's something in particular you want to play. 

Additionally, you could stop by at these special times to learn a new game:

12:30 - 1:30 pm - French Tarot - Learn how to play this trick-taking card game for 3-5 players, played with a special 78-card deck.

5:00 - 8:00 pm - Play Dance Dance Revolution! - First time players are welcome, and we will help to match people of similar skill levels for a relaxed playing atmosphere.

Event Horizon is the joint home of the Geek Partnership Society, CONvergence, and Anime Detour offices. It is located in the Waterbury building at the corner of Broadway and Central. (Look for the red building with the pirate flag.) There is ample parking in the lot behind the building.
